When the GDS team first visited our home for our non-verbal son with cerebral palsy, their warm and welcoming approach immediately made us feel like family. We felt confident sharing our concerns. They respected our family's requests, thoroughly reviewed our son's service history, and always involved us in their decisions. This level of collaboration sets GDS apart from its competitors.

frequently asked questions…

Global Disability Services is available to individuals of all ages who require any of our services.

If you require services from Global Disability Services, please reach out to us through various contact methods to schedule an assessment. After a comprehensive assessment, we will identify the most suitable services for your needs, taking into account the payment options available. For clients referred by the Regional Center or Lanterman Organization, it’s essential to provide your consumer service coordinator’s information or approved authorization details. This ensures that we can properly allocate your funding. If you don’t have this support, don’t worry; we will still assess your needs. If you are eligible for government support, we will assist you in obtaining approval. Otherwise, we will explore alternative payment options with you. Your well-being is our priority, and we are here to make sure you receive the support you need

Global Disability Services offers a range of services that may be covered by government funding for clients referred by the Regional Center and Lanterman Organization. These services can include Respite Services, Personal Assistance, Independent Living Skills (ILS), and Educational and Employment Assistance. It’s important to note that eligibility for government funding varies based on individual circumstances and the specific services required. Clients referred by the Regional Center or Lanterman Organization coordinators can work with us to determine their eligibility and confirm which services can be covered by government funding. Our goal is to assist individuals and their families in accessing the support they need to lead fulfilling lives.

For individuals who do not receive medical support and do not have approved authorization from the Regional Center and Lanterman Org, our services will be offered on a self-pay basis for residents of Southern California. This means that they can access our services and pay for them directly, allowing them to receive the support and assistance they need from Global Disability Services.

Services from Global Disability Services are available to all individuals who apply, and they can receive services 24/7 based on their specific requests and needs. For individuals referred from the Regional Center or Lanterman Org, the hours of service will be determined and approved by the Regional Center or Lanterman Org, taking into account the unique circumstances and needs of each case. These hours can vary due to factors like changes in parents’ work schedules or the development of addition or reduction of medical or mental health needs. While it is recommended to explore general resources like IHSS, individuals are not limited in their efforts to obtain services from various sources. Global Disability Services aims to provide flexible and tailored support to meet the individualized needs of each client.

Our funded services for individuals with developmental disabilities are accessible in regions approved by Lanterman Org and the Northern Angeles Regional Centers. We are continuously working to expand our service availability to reach more individuals and provide the support they need.
